First Saver account

 

This account is great for helping to teach children the importance of saving. It can also be used by parents and grandparents who want to start saving for their child.

Child Trust Funds

These are the government regulated savings accounts which are designed to provide a nest-egg for youngsters when they reach the age of 18.

 

Official green vouchers are sent through the post to parents when a child is registered to receive Child Benefit. The vouchers are only available to children living in the UK who were born on or after 1st September 2002. When you receive your child’s voucher, you can choose to open an account with Leeds City Credit Union.

Adult savings

Our two most popular adult savings accounts are the Regular Saver and the Christmas Savings Club.

 

Regular saver account

This account is ideal if you want to save regularly and prefer to access your money only a few times a year.

• Minimum investment of £20 per month or £5 a week
• Dividend – currently paid quarterly
• No penalties for withdrawing your dividend or transferring it to another LCCU account
• Up to four withdrawals per year

Christmas Savings Club

Do you always plan to save for Christmas and never seem to get around to it? Our Christmas Savings Club is an easy way to save for the festive season.

• Save as much as you can between now and 31st October
• No withdrawals until November – meaning that your money is safe for when you need it
• Instant access from 1st November
